Netflix Sliverlight Hell
This is not my error, but seem to be related. My error is
Connection Problem Error Code:
N8106-101 Unable to connect to the nteflix service.
Netflix sent me to talk with MS. Seems like I need to pay to even talk with MS.
In trying some solutions on the net I found my own solution:
- Uninstall the current Silverlight
- Install the 3.0 version of Silverlight
- http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=150228
- I saved this in a safe place for future use.
- When I tried to run Netflix it insist that I update. After updating, silverlight starts working.
- This all might be simply related to the removing the mspr.hds file.
- Note that simply uninstalling and re-installing Silverlight did not work.
- This is probably a problem in digital right management (DRM).
- Sounds like there have been lots of problems with Silverlight
I believe that the problem lies with Microsoft; however, if MS blows off big customer like Netflix, how do think they are going to treat a little guy like me. Yes, that's right, they will charge me $60 dollars and tell me it is a Netflix problem. Netflix need to resolve these issue with MS themselves and not sent us off like lambs to the slaughter.
